KDCAH's fundamental purpose is to promote research and training in the arts and humanities, leading to 1) Arts-based communication techniques for people of diverse cultures, and 2) a multi-arts training program to humanize and socialize individuals as well as provide them with marketable skills.  These ends are achieved through continued scholarship in the field of inter-cultural communication, carried on by Ms. Dunham and others, and an innovative arts training program developed and perfected by Ms. Dunham in the late 1940's.
